"Rumor has it...."...that "Lulu" came with a very questionable past from Old San Francisco's Barbary Coast. Wanting to shun the bright lights and bawdy atmosphere of the "Coast", she traveled North up the Sacramento River and came upon the town of Redding.
Sensing the need for a place to 'Relax' and enjoy good food and drinks, she opened a small roadhouse where Lulu's currently stands. Although Lulu cannot, herself, be with us...she has asked that the establishment be dedicated to "the 'Merry Folks' of today who will again make EATING & DRINKING a PLEASURE."
